Q:

Is planning permission required for my sign?

A:

This depends upon factors such as size, colours and location.  Though we

can give our opinion, if you are in any doubt we would advise consulting

with the council before proceeding.

Q: How much information is required for a quotation / design? A: The cost of a project is calculated on combination of materials and time.  To give an accurate quotation we will require sizes (we usually visit the premises for shop fascias, etc.) together with an idea of the content.  Once a quotation is accepted we can prepare a scaled layout for which you will need to provide the content text, and any required logos and images. Q: Do you supply illuminated signs? A: No.  We do not deal in internally illuminated or neon signs.  If you intend to illuminate a sign with overhead or spot lights we would recommend seeking advice from the Council planning department. Q: How long does a sign take to produce? A: To avoid stress with short deadlines, please consider your signage requirements in good time.  Simple signs can be produced in a few days from stock materials, but a more complex sign that requires designing, manufacture and installation can take a number of weeks to complete. Q: What maintenance is required? A: Signage on a building is the responsibility of the owner or tenant of the building and inspections must be made regularly to make sure they are safe and securely fastened as to avoid any accidents to passers-by.  While we give a warranty on the sign itself, the attachment to the building and integrity of the building itself is out of our control once it has been installed and subject to wear & tear.
